Kold+Partners is seeking an experienced backend developer for a lead role at Accutics, a B2B SaaS company located in Copenhagen. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in PHP and Laravel, alongside a knack for problem-solving.
The role involves a hands-on approach while leading a small team, working on real user challenges, and contributing to defining the backend direction. The position offers a collaborative environment with remote work options and the opportunity to work with AI technologies.
We are working with Accutics to find an experienced backend developer who's ready to step into a lead role. Accutics is a B2B SaaS company delivering a marketing data governance and campaign-tracking platform; a single shared data language that helps global brands such as Dyson, Coop, and Nordea standardise, validate, and connect their marketing data across platforms. With AI-ready marketing data now at the centre of where the product is heading, the backend has a real part to play.
The team today is two backend and three frontend developers, and Accutics wants to strengthen the backend side with a technical lead. You will come in as a hands‑on senior who still loves writing code, but who's ready to take more ownership: helping the other backend developers when they get stuck, weighing in on architecture, and representing backend in the technical forums and feature‑design sessions alongside the frontend lead.
Most of your week is feature development inside a Scrum‑based product process with tight feedback loops. But this is a real product with real users, so every now and then something interesting lands – a tricky bug that surfaced overnight, a sudden need to onboard a couple of thousand users, a performance problem that needs a creative fix. Some weeks that's nothing; some weeks it's the best part of the job. What matters is the mindset: nobody hands you a script. You look at the problem, work out how to solve it, and drive it to done.
Accutics expects you to be comfortable working with modern AI tooling – Cursor, Claude Code, MCP, and the like. You don't need to be an expert, but you are intrigued and see the real value. More important than tool experience is judgment: knowing what's worth building, setting up experiments with clear success criteria, and being able to step back and ask "is this the version that creates value?" rather than generating code simply because it's easy to.
Self‑sufficient, proactive, and creative. You take ownership of a problem and run with it. You enjoy collaborating, you're happy to have a real voice in the product rather than just executing a spec, and you can zoom out to see the bigger picture when it counts.
