What you will work on

Your mission

Lead our People Ops: Help Emidat scale faster by hiring exceptional talent, elevating our employer brand and building robust people operations from scratch.

Your Challenge

At Emidat, we believe there are very few things that are more important than building a place where exceptional people love to work. Every new hire brings something to the team we do not have.

At 25 people with clear product‑market‑fit and a very ambitious roadmap, it's time to get someone on board who can carry this thinking forward and build our people function from scratch - our Claire Hughes Johnson.

Recruitment & Sourcing
  • Own and run the full-cycle recruitment process, from first candidate touchpoint to signed contract.
  • Source actively (LinkedIn, GitHub, communities, referrals, events) and build strong long‑term relationships with the best talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to design tailored hiring strategies, and equip them with training on interview structures and scorecards that clearly define what ‘great’ looks like for each role.
  • Implement and maintain an applicant tracking system.
Employer Branding & Candidate Experience
  • Design and run recruiting events to promote Emidat and attract best‑in‑class talent.
  • Partner with the team to articulate our value proposition for candidates; refresh our careers page, job ads and social content.
  • Build processes to ensure every candidate interaction reflects our culture and values.
  • Drive initiatives that position Emidat as one of the most exciting places to work in the European tech ecosystem.
Onboarding & People Operations
  • Partner with founders and team leads to continuously improve how we support, grow and retain talent.
  • Define and track funnel metrics (sourcing mix, time‑to‑first‑interview, time‑to‑offer, acceptance rate, quality of hire, pipeline diversity) and use them to improve channels and process.
  • Own pre‑boarding checklists, day‑1 setup, 30/60/90‑day plans and new‑hire feedback loops.
  • Coordinate with IT/Operations to get equipment, accounts and training ready.

What you bring along

Based on what you know about the role 👆 you know best if you could thrive in this job. You don’t need to be an expert but you do need to be eager to learn.

These are some qualities that would help:

  • Proven track record as a people or recruiting lead.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing hard‑to‑find profiles and running structured candidate pipeline building (show us the best profiles you found and managed to hire).
  • Strong stakeholder management partnering with hiring managers on role design and timelines.
  • Strong passion for the Emidat mission and fit with Emidat values to represent the company.
  • Fluency in English (German is a plus).
Nice to have
  • Experience with employer branding, candidate engagement, onboarding and / or people development.
  • Hands‑on experience with Ashby ATS.
  • Knowledge of HR tools and systems for scaling teams
