About this opportunity

Professional Scheduler / Project Planner will provide oversight of establishing initial project baseline through completion, acting as owner's representative.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitating the development of a detailed project schedule along with project team and contractor input.
  • Developing and improving status collection process to ensure quality progress reporting.
  • Analysing project schedules including comparing cost/resource curves to actual, tracking float consumption, and change order impact analysis to ensure contractor is compliant with scheduling specification.
  • Validating schedule updates along with a narrative for submission to the project team and stakeholders.
  • Identifying and mitigating threats to the project's schedule goals and initiate corrective actions through field staff as necessary.
  • Interfacing with site management regarding critical schedule activities, change, impacts to schedule, change orders, project progress, and claims analysis.
  • Providing final review of schedules for estimating as requested.
  • Facilitating the team in revising logic for schedule compression, forensic analysis to identify cause and effect of delay and reporting.
  • Analysing resource loading and adjust the schedule or initiate corrective action as appropriate.
  • Providing information as needed on the content, modification, or presentation of project work with master scheduling to assess impact(s) of design/construction changes and schedule slippages, as well as to show the hierarchy of plans and schedules, and keep the project team fully informed.
  • Reporting on impact analysis for potential delays and changes to project team.
  • Managing change orders, requests for information and updates to project scheduling specific documents.
  • Interpreting project team needs; assessing requirements and identifying solutions to non-standard requests with regards to project schedule.
  • Advising directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or may arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact on Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

  • 5+ years of scheduling / project control experience working for construction projects.
  • Expert knowledge of MS Project.
  • Direct experience in data center construction a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Eligible to work in Germany.
