The department of Digital Design and Processing in the Institute of Active Polymers at Helmholtz-Zentrum Hereon invites applications for a Research Scientist in computational and experimental implants research and development.
Our department collaborates closely with Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, developing clinically led, materials-oriented solutions for healthcare issues, especially in cardiac and vascular fields. We aim to develop validated Digital Twins to improve implant design and clinical outcomes. We have excellent infrastructure for digital design, rapid prototyping, and material characterization. We seek motivated scientists to join our team.
The position is initially limited to 24 months (starting as soon as possible). Equal opportunity employment is a priority. The full-time position (39 h/week) is also shareable.
Education: Master's and doctoral degrees in biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering, biofabrication, materials science, computational modeling, or related fields.
