Zusammenfassung

Ein führendes Forschungsinstitut in Bremen sucht einen engagierten Forschungsassistenten (m/w/d) für die Entwicklung ressourcenschonender Herstellungsverfahren. Sie arbeiten in einem internationalen Team und unterstützen die Projekte im Bereich der adaptiven Produktionsplanung. Ein Master- oder Diplomabschluss in Ingenieurwesen oder Naturwissenschaften ist erforderlich. Flexibles Arbeitszeitmodell und Homeoffice-Optionen werden angeboten.

Qualifikationen

  • Abgeschlossenes Studium in Ingenieurwesen oder Naturwissenschaften.
  • Fachkenntnisse in Materialwissenschaft und -technik.
  • Kenntnisse in Prozesskettenanalyse und Ressourcenmonitoring.
  • Erfahrung in der Modellierung von Prozessschritten mit Matlab oder ähnlicher Software.

Aufgaben

  • Projektarbeit im Bereich adaptive und flexible Produktionsplanung.
  • Erstellung von Modellen zur Berechnung des Ressourcenbedarfs.
  • Analyse und Planung von Prozessketten.
  • Erstellung dokumentarischer und wissenschaftlicher Veröffentlichungen.

Join our team as a Research Associate (m/f/d) in the research area of heat treatment full-time (39.2 hr/week), fixed term for 3.5 years. Hiring is planned for 01.01.2026.

As part of the ‘The Martian Mindset’ Cluster of Excellence and in collaboration with the University of Bremen and other research institutes, we are hiring a motivated research associate to contribute to the development of resource-efficient manufacturing processes – an important component of the cluster’s interdisciplinary approach to sustainable technologies beyond Earth.

Leibniz-IWT stands for research in the field of new materials, new processes and optimised components. Our work is interdisciplinary, international and practical. The scientific questions in our institute range from the production of materials, such as powder production for additive manufacturing, to the analysis of the final machined components, for example high-precision gears.   • Remuneration based on the federal collective bargaining agreement (TV-L), pay group 13 (from EUR 4,630 per month full-time), annual bonus, company pension scheme.

We Need Your Expertise For
  • Project work in the field of adaptive and flexible production planning, monitoring and modelling, and performing analyses of individual steps in the process chains of the Mars production facility to determine resource requirements.
  • Creation of models of the process steps to calculate resource requirements as a function of process parameters.
  • Analysis and planning of process chains, as well as creation of software-based solutions to map the resource requirements of the processes and process chains.
  • Writing reports and scientific publications, presentation of results at international conferences.
What We Expect From You
  • Completed master’s or diploma degree in engineering or natural sciences.
  • Expertise in materials science/materials engineering.
  • Knowledge in process chain analysis and resource monitoring.
  • Expertise in modelling process steps using Matlab or similar software.
