What you can expect

• Project work and coordination in a research project on the management of critical supply chains during restricted port operations
• Analysis of dependencies of critical infrastructures, supply chains, and cascade effects in other sectors, particularly in the areas of transport, traffic, and health
• Investigation of stakeholder structures in risk and crisis management and their communication processes
• Development of crisis exercises, measures, and practical tests for the preparation and implementation of participatory workshops
• Synthesis of project results in a practice-oriented guide
• Publication of scientific articles in recognized journals and presentation of research results at conferences and workshops
• Supervision of students in the preparation of bachelor's, master's, or project theses

What you bring to the table

• University degree (master's level); preferably in the fields of risk, security, or disaster management, geography, or comparable
• In-depth knowledge of risk analysis as well as risk and crisis management
• Experience in project management or project coordination
• In-depth knowledge in the field of critical infrastructures
• Basic knowledge of supply chain management is an advantage
• Experience with scientific working methods
• Confident use of common MS Office applications
• Very good German and good English skills
• Strong communication and cooperation skills
