Research assistant for critical supply chains and security of supply
What you can expect
- Project work and coordination in a research project on the management of critical supply chains during restricted port operations
- Analysis of dependencies of critical infrastructures, supply chains, and cascade effects in other sectors, particularly in the areas of transport, traffic, and health
- Investigation of stakeholder structures in risk and crisis management and their communication processes
- Development of crisis exercises, measures, and practical tests for the preparation and implementation of participatory workshops
- Synthesis of project results in a practice-oriented guide
- Publication of scientific articles in recognized journals and presentation of research results at conferences and workshops
- Supervision of students in the preparation of bachelor's, master's, or project theses
What you bring to the table
- University degree (master's level); preferably in the fields of risk, security, or disaster management, geography, or comparable
- In-depth knowledge of risk analysis as well as risk and crisis management
- Experience in project management or project coordination
- In-depth knowledge in the field of critical infrastructures
- Basic knowledge of supply chain management is an advantage
- Experience with scientific working methods
- Confident use of common MS Office applications
- Very good German and good English skills
- Strong communication and cooperation skills
- Analytical, structured, and independent way of working
