Overview

At BARFER’S Wellfood, we develop and produce premium dog and cat food based on the BARF principle (Biologically Appropriate Raw Feeding).

In our own Berlin-based manufactory, we create over 280 products, which we sell through our online shop, eight stores in Berlin, Potsdam, and Hamburg, as well as through selected B2B partners.

Job Summary

We’re looking for a Mid React Native Developer to join our product engineering team and help build world-class mobile e-commerce experiences. You’ll take ownership of app development from architecture to deployment, collaborating closely with design, backend, and data teams to deliver scalable, performant, and customer-focused mobile products.

You’ll play a key role in shaping our Shopify-integrated mobile ecosystem, improving app performance, and driving innovation in how users interact with our online store. At the beginning, you will report directly to the CTO.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Development: Build, test, and maintain React Native app for iOS and Android, focused on Shopify-powered e-commerce experiences.
• Architecture & Code Quality: Design and implement clean, maintainable, and scalable codebases following modern React Native and Shopify best practices.
• Integration: Connect mobile apps with Shopify APIs, custom storefronts, and backend services.
• Collaboration: Work closely with UI/UX designers, backend engineers, and the data team to ensure seamless and data-driven customer journeys.
• Performance Optimization: Identify and fix performance bottlenecks, ensuring smooth user interactions and optimized checkout flows.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release processes.

Requirements

Experience: 3–6+ years of professional software development, with 2+ years in React Native and experience building Shopify-integrated mobile apps or E-Commerce platforms.

Skills & Knowledge
