Your Role in Our Team

We’re looking for a People + Culture Generalist whose equal parts strategic partner and hands-on problem solver. In this role, you’ll be a key player in delivering exceptional day-to-day people support, coaching managers through challenges, and helping shape the employee experience at every stage of the journey. You’re someone who leads with empathy, thinks in systems, and thrives in a fast-moving environment. You know how to navigate the nuance of people-related decisions, apply employment law with care, and drive people-first solutions that balance compliance with culture. You’re also tech-savvy, highly organized, and known for bringing clarity and structure wherever you go.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be a go-to partner for employees and people leaders—offering thoughtful, real-time guidance on policies, employee relations, and everyday people moments
  • Coach and empower Team Leads and Managers to apply fair, values-aligned people practices across the employee lifecycle
  • Drive and support meaningful People & Culture programs, from engagement and performance to development, accommodations, and change management
  • Lead investigations and facilitate conflict resolution with empathy, confidentiality, and timeliness
  • Support team and org evolution—including org design, restructures, promotions, and offboarding—with care and clarity
  • Manage leaves of absence (e.g., parental, disability), ensuring a seamless experience and full compliance with relevant legislation
  • Contribute to thoughtful policy development, compliance tracking, and employee documentation
  • Support immigration processes and paperwork where needed
  • Ensure we stay compliant with provincial/state, federal, and internal policies in both Canada and the U.S
  • Partner with Payroll to ensure employee changes are reflected accurately and on time
  • Analyze people data and trends to spot risks and opportunities—and recommend proactive solutions
  • Champion our digital-first HR approach: using tools and systems (like BambooHR or Lattice) to streamline processes, stay organized, and enable smart, data-informed decisions
  • Keep people processes tidy, documented, and impactful—bringing structure and clarity to everything you do
  • Be a champion of our culture—modelling our values and helping to foster an inclusive, people-first workplace

What You Bring:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • 4–5 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 2 years in a generalist or advisory capacity
  • Well-versed in Canadian employment law and HR practices, with some experience navigating U.S. regulations
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills—you know how to earn trust and create psychological safety
  • A bias for action, accountability, and collaboration—you meet people where they are, and help move them forward
  • A data-informed mindset and problem-solving approach—you see patterns, make sense of nuance, and act accordingly
  • Confidence in using HR systems and digital tools (e.g., BambooHR, Lattice); experience with these platforms is a bonus
  • A CHRP or similar HR certification is an asset

Why SpryPoint?

  • Remote-first and autonomous working environment with flexible working hours
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Macbook + $500 towards your home office setup
  • Health, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Generous PTO, ½ day Summer Fridays, and flexible sick days
  • RRSP (Canada) and 401k (US) matching program
  • Professional development courses, $2,500 annual tuition assistance, and a book bounty program
  • Annual company events and team offsites
