Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Perform NDT inspections using Auto UT on prefabricated pipe spools.
• Accurately interpret and report inspection results.
• Conduct daily equipment checks for compliance.
• Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
• Carry out point-of-work risk assessments.
• Mentor apprentices and junior technicians.
• Maintain clear and concise inspection record QA sheets.

Kenntnisse

NDT certifications PCN Level 2/3 or equivalent ISO 9712 certification in Ultrasonics (UT)

Computerised / AUT scanning & data analysis

Experience in NDT inspection of prefabricated piping systems

Main Purpose:

This position offers a long-term and rewarding opportunity to join a dedicated inspection team operating within a piping prefabrication yard in Dortmund. As an NDT Technician, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality non-destructive testing services on prefabricated pipe spools, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Candidates must be prepared to undertake an intensive 3 week training course in the equipment operation, data acquisition, and data analysis procedures and pass an independent practical trial qualification exam in all aspects prior to deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform NDT inspections using Auto UT on prefabricated pipe spools.
• Accurately interpret and report inspection results in line with applicable procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct and record daily equipment checks to ensure functionality and compliance.
• Follow all internal and site-specific health, safety, environmental, and quality (HSEQ) protocols.
• Carry out point-of-work risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
• Provide support and mentorship to apprentices and junior technicians.
• Maintain clear and concise inspection record QA sheets.

Experience & Qualifications:

Essential:

• NDT certifications PCN Level 2/3 or equivalent ISO 9712 certification in Ultrasonics (UT), TOFD and Phased Array (PA),
• Computerised / AUT scanning & data analysis
• Experience in NDT inspection of prefabricated piping systems or similar fabrication environments.
• Good English

Desirable:

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Proficiency in Ultravision Software
