A recruitment firm is seeking a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to drive strategic finance within a fast-growing organisation. Located in München, the ideal candidate should have deep FP&A experience, fluency in German and English, and a strategic mindset to shape financial outcomes. The role offers a competitive salary of €140,000-€170,000 plus a significant bonus and benefits.
Apointe are a founder-led recruitment business specialising in senior finance and strategic hires. With over a decade of experience, we help high-growth, PE/VC-backed, and ambitious companies build the finance teams that drive performance, transformation, and long‑term success.
Head of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Private Equity Backed, High Growth, Strategic, Commercial, Influential €140,000-€170,000, plus 50% bonus and healthy benefits. You must be fluent in German and English.
We are hiring a Head of FP&A who wants to sit at the centre of strategic decision-making, shape the financial future of a fast‑scaling organisation, and operate as a true partner to the CEO, CFO and private equity investors.
This is not a maintenance or reporting role.
This is the role for someone who thrives in growth, complexity and ambiguity, and who wants genuine influence, commercial ownership and visible impact.
If you are a high‑performing Senior Manager, Senior FP&A Leader or Commercial Finance Lead who is ready for a meaningful step up (but not stepping down from FD or CFO), this is one of the most exciting opportunities in the market right now.
You will drive the company’s strategic finance capability, leading forecasting, modelling, insights, liquidity planning, investor analysis and long‑range strategy. This is a visible and influential leadership position with a clear pathway to broader commercial responsibility as the business grows.
You are ambitious, commercially minded and comfortable operating where the answer is not always obvious. You enjoy combining detail with strategy and you want your work to directly influence decisions.
We are looking for someone with:
Experience in energy infrastructure or other asset‑heavy, capital‑intensive sectors is helpful but not essential for the right commercial leader.
You will join at a pivotal moment, with the opportunity to build and elevate the full strategic finance capability. You will operate in a genuinely commercial role with exposure across the entire organisation, and you will have a long runway for future progression.
You will have influence, you will have visibility and you will shape the financial trajectory of a business that is investing, transforming and growing.
We expect a high volume of applicants for this role. If you haven't heard back within 2 weeks, it means we are moving forward with other professionals. (sorry)
