Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

  • Design and maintain backend services and integration solutions.

  • EDI Integration Developer / Backend Developer
  • Basics: Degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a comparable qualification, alternatively equivalent professional experience in backend development
  • Experience: Several years of experience in backend or integration development, ideally in the logistics or supply chain sector
  • Know-how:
  • Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g. Python, C#/.NET, Java, or similar)
  • Knowledge of APIs (REST, SOAP) and integration patterns
  • Experience with version control (GIT) and containerisation (Docker)
  • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, CI/CD, and cloud-native technologies
  • Understanding of database systems such as OracleDB, MSSQL, and MySQL
  • Experience with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus) and ideally container orchestration (Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of PL/SQL for Oracle to support and enhance existing implementations
  • Understanding of EDI workflows, routing, and tracking
  • Experience with Lobster Data or similar integration platforms is a plus
  • Skills: Strong backend development skills, solid software design principles, and a creative, solution-oriented mindset
  • Mindset: Enjoyment in creating new solutions, rethinking existing applications, and working in a dynamic integration landscape
  • Team: Comfortable working in an international, Europe-wide distributed team with English as the primary working language
Moving Forward Together – Your Tasks
  • Develop & Integrate: Design, implement, and maintain backend services and integration solutions for connecting our systems with external partners and customers
  • API-Driven Solutions : Integrate new APIs and develop dedicated solutions to extend our Transport Management System
  • Application Landscape: Develop and maintain almost 60 separate applications responsible for routing data between systems, providing auxiliary tools for consultants and operations teams
  • Optimise & Modernise : Redesign and modernise existing applications as part of the new TMS introduction
  • Database Work: Work with OracleDB, MSSQL, and MySQL – including PL/SQL development for existing Oracle-based EDI tracking and integration solutions
  • Collaborate: Work closely with EDI consultants, integration engineers, and operational departments to ensure smooth data flows
  • Operate & Monitor: Ensure stability, performance, and scalability using Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana, and other modern tools
