Job Description

The GTM Acceleration team is a strategic, consultative group and a critical part of Palo Alto Networks. We engage with Fortune 1000 customers to build and deliver strategic business justifications for their digital transformation cybersecurity initiatives.

You will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales leaders, solution consultants, and various business units. This role provides a platform to demonstrate expertise in sales strategy, consultative discovery, and engagement execution. You’ll excel in business analysis, problem solving, program management, executive communication, and consensus building. As we pivot toward helping customers achieve platformization, you’ll lead the development and execution of cross-platform deals, driving sales across our diverse portfolio.

Team reporting line: Senior Director, Netsec Sales Acceleration

Your Impact

  • Strategic Deal Development: Collaborate with GTM and sales leadership to identify and target potential enterprise clients for large-scale cross-platform deals. Develop strategies to approach these clients and secure high-value contracts aligned with company and client objectives.
  • Deal Structure & Customization: Work with sales and GTM teams to tailor network security solutions to meet specific enterprise needs. Leverage our technology expertise to position our offerings as optimal solutions for client challenges.
  • Client Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough needs assessments with potential enterprise clients to understand their challenges, objectives, and pain points. Use this information to craft compelling proposals demonstrating the value of our solutions.
  • Data-driven Insights: Use analytics tools and data-driven approaches to inform deal strategies and negotiations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, GTM, product, finance, and legal teams to align on deal structure, legal requirements, and financial considerations, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Negotiation and Deal Closure: Implement negotiation tactics to secure favorable terms while meeting revenue targets. Drive deals to successful closure while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Market Insights: Stay updated on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to enhance our approach to enterprise agreements and network security.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of activities, customer engagements, deals closed, and revenue. Provide regular reports on progress, challenges, and successes to leadership.

Qualifications

Your Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Strategy, or related field; MBA or equivalent military experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of at least 7 years in enterprise sales, deal negotiation, or business development within the technology industry.
  • Experience developing and presenting high-quality recommendations for client and executive audiences.
  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to analyze complex challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats—strategy development, project management, and execution—to move from ideation to implementation.
  • Results-oriented with a history of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Cybersecurity knowledge (industry, solutions, competitors) is a plus.
