Zusammenfassung

A leading engineering firm in Paderborn is seeking an experienced professional to conduct crash simulations and develop FEM models. The ideal candidate will have a degree in automotive or mechanical engineering and solid experience in crashworthiness simulations. Fluency in both German and English is required. Your tasks
  • You are responsible for performing crash simulations (also with external partners) and continuously developing the FEM models. The focus is on crashworthiness, full vehicle structure, and potential improvement measures
  • You maintain the models: building, updating, and ensuring the current model status, as well as coordinating with internal and external stakeholders
  • You independently carry out calculations and continuously develop the models as part of HOLON’s development work
  • You work closely with internal development departments, domains, and external service providers to coordinate model and calculation requirements
  • You contribute to the creation of test specifications for full vehicle and component tests on test rigs and in field trials
  • You support the analysis of structural behavior, both in static and dynamic areas

Your profile
  • You have a degree in automotive engineering, mechanical engineering, or a comparable field with a focus on testing, calculations, or validation
  • You have solid experience in crash simulation and FEM methods at both full vehicle and component level, especially in crashworthiness
  • Knowledge of structural strength analysis (static & dynamic) is desirable
  • You have experience with Altair HyperWorks, Abaqus, and LS-Dyna
  • You think analytically, work independently, and are able to collaborate well in interdisciplinary teams
  • You have fluent German and English skills, both written and spoken
