Germany is the next major market — and you will lead that expansion.

The Role

As Business Development Manager Germany, you will be responsible for building the German market from the ground up — together with the team in the Netherlands. This is a highly entrepreneurial role that combines lead generation, sales, client visits, and early‑stage operational work. You will work directly with the founders and our operations team to launch, grow, and establish Cargors in Germany.

If you want full ownership, autonomy, and a critical seat in a fast‑growing European scale‑up, this role is for you. And the most important of all: hands‑on mentality is a must in this phase of the company.

Your Responsibilities

1. Build & Grow the German Market

  • Develop and execute the go‑to‑market strategy in close collaboration with the NL team
  • Identify, target, and acquire SME shippers across Germany
  • Drive consistent lead generation: outreach, cold calling, email campaigns, events
  • Educate the market on Cargors’ gateway and our IT‑first approach
  • Convert prospects through demos, conversations, and onboarding

2. Client Visits & Relationship Building

  • Visit customers across Germany to build long‑term relationships
  • Understand customer needs and translate them into actionable insights
  • Represent Cargors at industry events, fairs, and local meetups

3. Early‑Stage Operational Support

In the beginning, you will handle some operational work to ensure a smooth market launch:

  • Assist customers during their first shipments
  • Coordinate with the NL operations team on shipment follow‑up
  • Help ensure quality, accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • Document learnings and build repeatable processes

4. Strategic Insights & Scaling

  • Provide continuous feedback to improve product, pricing, and customer experience
  • Help define KPIs, growth targets, and quarterly expectations
  • Build the foundation for a future German team (sales, CS, operations)
  • Become the commercial and strategic leader for the German market
Who You Are
  • 4–10 years in B2B sales, logistics, supply chain, or SaaS for logistics
  • Strong understanding of the German SME landscape
  • Experience in lead generation and early‑stage business building
  • Launching or scaling a market is a strong plus
