SENKO is expanding fast in the European data centre and telecom market, and we're looking for a Business Development Manager to drive adoption of our next-generation fibre connectivity solutions across hyperscalers, data centres and our network operators.

This is a high-impact role where you influence specification-level decision, not just sell into a territory.

Responsibilities
  • Utilise background & skill set to identify and subsequently manage and oversee development of new product opportunities. This includes supervising design criteria and communications between Business Development and Engineering/Vendors/Operations & ultimately the Customer
  • Understand the eco system of Data Centre market in Europe (operators, contractors, distributors, and solution providers) and set a strategy to approach.
  • Seek new product opportunities outside current market segments served
  • Oversee project management of various programs assigned to Business Development team
  • Coordination and cooperation with other territory managers to jointly develop accounts within client sets which span across geographical boundaries.
  • Provide Sales Reports, forecasts, or other materials/information as needed and requested by the Sales Manager
  • Travel to meet and grow customer base
  • Oversee proposals and negotiation of contracts
  • Attend trade shows, conduct market research and keep abreast of new technology
  • Accountability for departmental budgets and expenditures
Key Skills and Experience
  • BA or Technical degree or equivalent working experience. Experience with connectors, cable assemblies, or similar electro-mechanical devices.
  • 4-5 years’ experience in direct sales to OEM’s, developing territories and new business.
  • Ability to travel 40-50%.
  • Background in fiber optics required
