A local medical practice is seeking an Apprentice GP surgery receptionist to assist patients and support the team while completing a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship over 16 months. The role involves receiving patients, managing appointment requests, and maintaining the reception area. Ideal candidates should be friendly, reliable, and have good communication skills. Working hours are 30 per week from Monday to Friday.
Primrose Bank Medical Centre in Blackburn are recruiting for an Apprentice GP surgery receptionist. The successful candidate will work towards completing a Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner apprenticeship over the duration of 16 months.
• Receiving patients, consulting with members of the Practice team
• Be able to cover all reception position as necessary
• Keep reception area tidy
• Keeping the reception area, notice-boards and leaflet dispensers replenished
• Ensure visitors sign in and out of the visitors book
• Have working knowledge of telephone system, and messaging system
• Answering the telephone professionally
• Process appointment requests for today and future appointments from patients, by telephone and in person
• Using Microsoft office and clinical system
• Willing to learn and have a go
• Private and confidential

• Must have reliable transport
• Public transport in the area
Working 4 out of 5 days / Monday-Friday / earliest start 7:30am, latest finish 6:30pm / 30 minutes lunch (unpaid) / 30 hours per week
