Our client is seeking a Platform Engineer to join their security-focused team based in Bern. This role involves building and maintaining a scalable, secure platform supporting cyber training applications within a high-trust environment. Responsibilities include architecting and supporting reliable infrastructure to host critical cyber training systems, ensuring smooth operation of development, testing, and production environments with appropriate networking setups.

You Will

• Develop and maintain automation scripts for platform components and services.
• Ensure platform stability, security, and performance by proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Manage infrastructure resources using virtualization and container technologies such as Proxmox, VMware, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align platform operations with service standards and SLA requirements.
• Operate within a high-security environment contributing to critical national infrastructure.

The Ideal Profile Includes

• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related STEM discipline.
• Proven experience in platform or infrastructure engineering, with a focus on virtualization and container orchestration.
• Hands-on skills with Proxmox, VMware, KVM, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong scripting or automation capabilities.
• Ability to work in a secure environment with strict compliance requirements.
• Fluent English; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
• EU/EFTA citizenship or valid Swiss work permit.
