Testing & Certification Engineer

Our Risk, Regulation and Standardization team is active worldwide in hyperloop regulations, standardization and industry projects and cooperation. The team works with institutional as well as industry stakeholders on diverse and new structures for Hyperloop governance in Europe and in the US. You will focus on the standardization aspect of Hyperloop systems with interface to regulations and other industry related affairs. You will be able to implement your knowledge on the road to test, certify and commercialize Hyperloop transport.

Responsibilities

• Represent Swisspod in institutional and industry platforms such as the CEN/CENELEC Joint Technical Committee JTC20 for Hyperloop Systems (attendance required during business hours)
• Transfer testing and certification knowledge and approach to Hyperloop systems
• Participate in industry working groups and activities
• Provide timely feed-back to tasks arising from the group work
• Apply innovative and visionary thinking to the projects and processes
• Support the Head of Risk to structure and manage the emerging internal and external regulatory, standardization and industry spaces
• Liaise and cooperate with the engineering teams on risk, standardization and regulations topics

Requirements

• Experience and knowledge of technical standards in the aerospace and/rail industries
• Analytical skills and Problem solving
• Communication skills, team player
• Professional and fluent spoken and written English
• Confident presentation and representation skills
• It would be a plus to have a Mechanical, Civil or Systems Engineering background
