The role

We are looking for a Subsidiary Accountant to join our accounting team for an 8- months maternity cover. During that time the employee will be responsible for the accounting of some subsidiaries of our Swiss parent company . That will includ e daily finance operations , monthly closing and year-end reporting.

The role will work mainly within our finance department including Accounts Payable and close collaboration with Accounting Manager along with regular contact s with our 3 rd party Accountants in different countries .

What you will do

  • Processing daily Bank Reconciliation for all accounts and entities assigned and liaise with S enior AP Accountant when additional information is needed.

  • Being r esponsible for monthly close (Payroll, Prepaid, Depreciation, Accruals etc) including liaison with external 3rd party Accountants.

  • Prepar ing monthly balance sheet reconciliations by the assigned due dates ensuring accuracy of information.

  • Reconciliation between Workday Financials and statutory ledgers per 3rd party Accountants, including year-end closing for preparation of financial statements.

  • Provid ing information for VAT return and reconciliations with 3rd party Accountants.

  • Participat ing on year end audit per country.

  • Support ing process improvements and documentation.

  • Assist ing with ad hoc projects and provide support to Others Finance teams where necessary.

Desired skills and experience

  • 3 years' experience working with General Ledger.

  • Qualified Accountant desirable (or recognized accountant qualification in progress).

  • Proficient English speaker (knowledge of French is desirable).

  • Experienced in working with Accounting Systems and proficient in Excel.

  • High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

  • Good time management skills and ability to work with deadlines.
