The Senior Advisor of Sales and Capture will play a strategic advisor, execution, and leadership role in sales and capture management, partnership development, and advise on client delivery efforts as needed. This individual will support the firm’s business growth goals by identifying and shaping opportunities, cultivating teaming relationships, and ensuring alignment between client needs and project execution strategies. This role is ideal for a seasoned consulting leader looking to contribute senior-level insight and strategic support on a flexible, part-time basis. The position reports to The Clearing’s Chief Operating Officer.

Description

The Senior Advisor of Sales and Capture will play a strategic advisor, execution, and leadership role in sales and capture management, partnership development, and advise on client delivery efforts as needed. This individual will support the firm’s business growth goals by identifying and shaping opportunities, cultivating teaming relationships, and ensuring alignment between client needs and project execution strategies. This role is ideal for a seasoned consulting leader looking to contribute senior-level insight and strategic support on a flexible, part-time basis. The position reports to The Clearing’s Chief Operating Officer.

What You’ll Do

Opportunity Qualification, Capture, & Proposal Development

  • Lead or support capture planning activities for select new public sector opportunities
  • Advise on capture strategies, document and codify win themes, solution development, and teaming approaches reflective of the current business growth strategy
  • Review and contribute to key sections of proposals, including the win themes and past performance/qualifications
  • Source competitive opportunities, especially those associated with OASIS+ and other government-wide contract vehicles accessible to The Clearing
  • Support the development of pricing and resource strategies in coordination with delivery and operations

Partnership Strategy & Development

  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain strategic partnerships
  • Lead or support teaming discussions, NDAs, and teaming agreements for priority pursuits
  • Advise leadership on go/no-go decisions and teaming strategies

Project & Client Delivery Support (as needed)

  • Serve as a trusted and experienced advisor for high-risk and high-complexity engagements; guide project teams on complex client needs and delivery approaches.
  • Support quality assurance and knowledge-sharing across the team and the company
  • Mentor, train, and develop staff on our consulting methodology, frameworks, and tools; advise staff on project work

Compensation

The projected hourly rate pay range for this position is $64.00 to $101.00. Actual compensation is determined based on various factors, including the education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and clearance level of the candidate and internal equity. Once at The Clearing, movement through pay bands is based on performance. Base-annual salary is just one component of The Clearing’s total compensation philosophy and approach. Physical And Mental Requirements

While performing duties of this job, an employee may be required to perform any, or all of the following: attend meetings in and out of the office, travel (sometimes extensively); occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand; communicate effectively (both orally and in writing); ability to effectively use computers and other electronic and standard office equipment; and occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work is primarily sedentary and involves sitting for several hours at a time. Occasionally walking, climbing stairs, and standing occur in this role. Additionally, this job requires certain mental demands, including the ability to use judgment, withstand moderate amounts of stress, and maintain attention to detail. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred
  • 15+ years of professional experience, including 10+ years managing large-scale change management consulting projects and client relationships
  • Track record of capturing and managing net new leads and growing business with current clients
  • Proficiency in change strategy, strategic planning, organizational design, leadership development, and/or IT transformation
  • Strong business writing and verbal communication skills
  • Critical thinking/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced, high-stakes client environments
  • Willingness and ability to travel to business development meetings anywhere those meetings may be held, or wherever new clients are located.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States, now and in the future, without the need for company (The Clearing) visa sponsorship now or in the future
  • Desired skills, experiences, and certifications: change management, strategic planning, strategic communication, program management, and/or organizational design experience; PMP and/or Change Management certification (ex.: Prosci)
