Engineering Manager

Your Role and Responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on HMI design, drafting automation and electrical design and implementation of E-Base (Aucotec engineering-based tool) for project execution.

With a focus on precision and adherence to specific norms and standards, you will support standardizationof control panels for mining & GMD (Gearless Mill Drives).

You will also showcase your proficiency by customizing automation designs and HMI for project-specific requirements and interfacing with engineering teams to ensure consistency in interconnection design.

In cooperation with other teams, you will ensure compliance with relevant standards.

The work model for the role is: #LI-hybrid

This role will contribute to the Process Industries division in Switzerland.

You will be mainly accountable for

  • Collaborating on HMI and automation design for global projects while interfacing with international engineering teams to ensure design consistency.
  • Customizing E-Base templates and maintaining related global library.
  • Drafting best practice HMI for project-specific requirements and coaching automation projects worldwide.
  • Supporting the standardization and know-how retention of control panels, ensuring compliance.

Qualifications for the Role

  • FH or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or industrial engineering.
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience in the field of industrial control systems or automation.
  • Experience with software tools such as AutoCAD, EPLAN, or similar is appreciated.
  • Good understanding of various processes, engineering solutions, and designs.
  • Experience with programming languages.
  • Self-motivated and curious, able to simplify complex processes, collaborate effectively, and engage stakeholders with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Good technical communication skills in English (written and spoken); good level of German is highly welcome.
