Legal Advisor 80%

We are seeking an independent, self-driven Legal Advisor to join our dynamic renewable energy company. The ideal candidate will bring at least 5 years of relevant experience into the renewable energy or commodity sector, a bright and proactive attitude, and a passion for innovation, commercial activities and sustainability. This role is pivotal in ensuring market vision, legal compliance, managing regulatory matters, and providing strategic, managerial and operational support to the whole team.

Key responsibilities

Compliance & Regulatory Management:

• Monitor, interpret, and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (national and EU) affecting renewable energy projects and the carbon trading industry.

Ensure the company's adherence to financial law and regulation, while also managing legal risk associated with fiscal and tax operations:

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external counsel as needed.

Project Management:

• Provide legal oversight and support for project development, permitting, construction, and operation phases.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including EPC, O&M, PPAs, and financing and cooperation agreements.

Strategic Support:

• Advise the Board of Directors and the Executive team on legal risks, opportunities, and strategies to support business development and objectives.
• Participate in strategic planning and decision-making processes.

Stakeholder Management & Cooperation:

• Foster effective relationships with internal teams, external partners, authorities, and stakeholders.
• Represent the company in meetings, negotiations, and industry forums.
• Support and enable innovative business models and solutions within the legal framework.
• Stay abreast of legal trends and emerging issues in the renewable energy sector (green economy).

Desired skillsand expertise

Education:

• Master of Law. Flexible and agile to navigate in a fast-paced working environment.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, preferably in the energy business, or related (commercial) sectors.
• Expertise in corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance, along with strong communication and analytical skills.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and contractual matters in renewable energy and cross commodities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary, dynamic and experienced team.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Strategic thinker with a proactive, bright, and positive attitude.
• Hands-on and reliable. Team spirit, and a strong sense of accountability.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

Fluent in English and Italian (written and verbal) are mandatory. Second European language (Bulgarian, German or French) will be considered an advantage.
