Tasks

As Flight Crew Roster Team Lead, you will oversee a team responsible for developing, optimizing, and publishing monthly flight crew rosters. You will optimize and align roster parameters and track crew capacities while optimizing crew satisfaction, crew productivity and operational stability.

  • Oversee the development and publication of monthly rosters for flight crews under optimization of crew satisfaction, crew productivity and operational stability.
  • Guide the development and evaluation of monthly roster scenarios and set priorities in collaboration with capacity planning, crew control and key interfaces.
  • Monitor short-term crew capacity trends, assess potential risks, and direct short-term actions to maintain operational stability.
  • Approve critical roster and absence change requests with a direct impact on planning outcomes.
  • Manage and develop the Flight Crew Roster Team, ensuring a high-performance culture.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration, aviation management, or equivalent education.
  • 5+ years of experience in workforce planning, scheduling, or strategic resource management and familiarity with crew rostering systems and operational planning tools.
  • Operational mindset with the ability to assess and decide on complex planning scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Experience in managing teams under pressure is strongly favored.
  • Fluent in English and German
