Job Description:
We are seeking an Analytical Laboratory Technician for a chemical production role in Basel, Switzerland. This is a contract opportunity in the agricultural and chemical sector.
Your responsibilities include:
- Proficiently operate and maintain laboratory equipment according to organizational standards.
- Conduct specialized analyses under supervision, interpret results, and suggest further tests.
- Manage analytical methods for existing processes and support development and optimization of laboratory procedures.
- Develop new analytical methods and manage simple development projects.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) standards.
- Maintain accurate laboratory journals, test reports, and document procedures.
- Participate in departmental optimization groups and ensure a clean, safe workspace.
Qualifications and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in chemical production, technical support, or QC roles.
- Qualification as a chemical laboratory technician or similar, preferably in galenics (e.g., Labroant Fachrichtung Galenik with EFZ).
- German language proficiency at least B2 level.
- Ability to operate complex equipment and techniques independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to advise less experienced colleagues.

Work location: Basel, Switzerland. On-site position. Sector: Agricultural and Chemical. Expected start: October 2025. Duration: 12+ months. Workload: Full-time.
