Position Summary

This position plays a key role in partnering with the business to embed international trade and anticorruption requirements into daily operations and transactions-ensuring compliance while supporting global business growth. You'll provide strategic guidance on export/import, sanctions, and anticorruption regulations; develop and implement clear, practical policies; and respond to compliance-related issues as they arise. The role also involves reviewing and approving employee compliance requests, supervising one team member, and supporting Local Compliance Officers. You'll lead employee training on compliance policies, contribute to audits and risk assessments, and help design internal controls to track and enhance the effectiveness of our compliance efforts.

Your role

  • Compliance Program Management: Maintain the organization's ongoing relationships with our corporate office regarding international trade and anticorruption compliance programs and policies.
  • Export/Import Oversight: Maintain and oversee the company's export and import compliance program, ensuring alignment with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Third-Party Compliance: Manage compliance related to sales representatives and consultants, including oversight of commission payments and related controls.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Represent and advance the organization's compliance positions with both internal teams and external partners.
  • Management Advisory: Provide guidance to leadership on compliance with applicable laws and regulations to support informed decision-making.
  • Audit Coordination & Legal Support: Lead internal audits and control assessments; collaborate with inside and outside counsel on potential noncompliance issues.
  • Action Plan Oversight: Create and manage effective action plans responding to audit findings and compliance gaps.
  • Training & Education: Design and deliver compliance training programs to keep employees informed and aligned with current regulations.
  • Employee Support: Address and resolve compliance-related questions and concerns to foster a clear and confident compliance culture.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's degree (additional advanced degree preferred)
  • 5 years of experience in a compliance officer role or related function covering U.S. (ITAR, EAR, OFAC) and applicable non-U.S. export/import and sanctions matters
  • Experience managing anticorruption compliance, particularly around sales representatives and consultants
  • Exceptional communication skills - articulate and persuasive in English, both written and verbal
  • Highly analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and ability to spot nuanced risks
  • Calm, confident, and composed under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach
