Financial Stability Board is hiring a Head of Operations.

The Financial Stability Board (FSB) is an international body that coordinates the work of national financial authorities and international standard-setting bodies and develops and promotes the implementation of effective regulatory, supervisory, and other financial sector policies in the interest of financial stability.

Purpose Of The Job

Developing and managing the FSB Secretariat office, the jobholder organises the efficient provision of support services within the FSB secretariat and actively ensures effective processes in support of our membership and meetings.

Principal Accountabilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of highly qualified and experienced administrative and operations staff. Set performance objectives for team members and carry out performance and salary review discussions with them. Ensure an efficient flow of work in the area of responsibility.
• Oversee the administrative office in the FSB secretariat, other functions that support the operation of the FSB secretariat, and secretariat support for the Standing Committee on Budget and Resource.
• Organise effective operational support for FSB policy work, including administration, IT support, finances, communication, and recruitment. Act as first point of contact for the BIS on human resources and administrative matters.
• As member of the FSB Secretariat Management Team, contribute to the management of the secretariat.
• Establish and develop contacts with FSB member authorities. Liaise with standard setting bodies.
• Represent the FSB at international meetings, conferences, and other external events.
  
  

Qualifications, Skills, And Experience

• Suitable university level qualifications indicating strong academic excellence.
• At least 10 years of work experience indicative of a managerial career focused on driving for efficiency and effectiveness in any work environment that would credibly read across to the issues facing the FSB Secretariat
• Ability to organise and innovate in the management of the provision of internal support tasks, identify issues of relevance for FSB outreach; and lead and motivate subordinate staff, leading by example. Strong co-operative and team spirit.
• Excellent organisational, planning, and change management skills.
• Desirable: Familiarity with regulatory agencies, central banks, ministry of finance or international organisation work environments.
• Desirable: A record of ongoing commitment to life-long learning indicating drive, curiosity and a focus on achieving excellence in any aspect of office work logistics (I.T. or HR or planning and process management).
