Introduction

HOTELIS is the only company specialized in recruitment for hospitality and catering roles, whether permanent or temporary. To strengthen our teams at the Geneva International Exhibition and Conference Center, Palexpo, we are seeking new profiles to complete our service teams for the second semester of 2025.

About the Role

By joining our teams, you will have the opportunity to participate in various trade shows, fairs, and sporting events scheduled for the second semester of 2025.

Mission Description

• Preparation of the Venue: Prepare the banquet hall, spaces, bars, and/or restaurants following the instructions of the maître d'hôtel.
• Customer Reception: Greet each customer with a smile, warmth, and a genuine desire to satisfy their expectations.
• Service: Provide autonomous and efficient service, take orders, serve dishes, carry 3 plates (mandatory skill), serve drinks, clear and reset tables.
• Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the well-being of clients throughout their experience by offering quality, personalized service, and attentive, fair relationships.
• Cleaning and Tidying: Actively contribute to cleaning tasks and tidying workspaces after each shift.

Profile Requirements

Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills are essential. Your personality should align with the specifics of the event environment and the standards of luxury catering in Switzerland. You must have the proper uniform and equipment, and know the presentation requirements. A proven experience of several years in hospitality or catering, in Switzerland or abroad, is required. You should be capable of managing service independently while integrating quickly into a team, sometimes large. Dynamic, enthusiastic, organized, client-oriented, and passionate about your work. Ability to provide meticulous service, react proactively, and handle stress well. Fluency in French is mandatory, and professional English skills are desired for effective communication with our international clientele. Knowledge of additional languages is an asset.
