Responsibilities

In this challenging position within our ambitious future fuels global project, you will be at the forefront of innovation in marine engine development. Your primary responsibility will include, but not be limited to, testing our latest prototype designs with cutting-edge measurement technologies. Additional responsibilities include:

  • Leading performance, components, and system tests at our R&D test center in Oberwinterthur
  • Preparing test programs in collaboration with stakeholders (internal experts or external partners)
  • Evaluating, calibrating, and installing test/measurement equipment
  • Post-processing and analyzing measurement data, and creating test reports for stakeholders
  • Organizing, maintaining, and ensuring quality control of test components and measurement equipment
  • Continuously optimizing operational excellence regarding processes, methodology, data acquisition, and analysis tools

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Marine, Mechatronic, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of internal combustion engines, thermodynamics, and data acquisition
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools (e.g., AVL Concerto, Matlab, Excel)
  • Experience with SPS and measurement technologies (AVL Indicom, HBM Quantum X)
  • General knowledge of data communication protocols (CAN bus, Modbus)
  • Structured, solution-oriented work approach
  • Good communication skills and team-oriented mindset
  • Willingness to support mechanical tasks
  • Fluent in English and German
