Senior Operations Manager (f/m/x)

In this exclusive search, we are looking for an Operations Manager to join a fast-growing international client.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Full operational responsibility including logistics solutions, customs and transportation management
  • Ensure legally compliant import and export processes in accordance with national and international customs regulations
  • Optimize customs and transportation processes in close coordination with internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead, develop, and motivate teams in customs, import/export, and transport functions
  • Select and manage external service providers, including freight carriers, forwarders, and handling agents
  • Managing the budget for customs and transportation operations
  • Monitor and improve performance through KPI-based analyses
  • Ensure compliance with audit requirements, risk management, and sustainability targets
  • Collaborate closely with departments such as Sales, Legal, IT, Finance and corporate functions

What you bring technically:

  • University degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Customs/Foreign Trade, or equivalent education and experience
  • Several years of leadership experience in international transportation and customs operations, ideally in a corporate or global logistics environment
  • In-depth knowledge of international and Swiss customs law and transportation/logistics practices
  • Further certifications such as APICS, CLTD, CCS, or similar, are an advantage
  • Track record in project management and process optimization
  • Proficiency in relevant IT systems
  • Strong sense of responsibility, strategic thinking, and the ability to drive change
  • Fluency in German (C1 level minimum) and English is a must
