The Role

As Lead Software Architect, you’ll be the driving force behind technical strategy, system architecture, and solution design across complex software projects. You’ll guide development teams, define architecture, and make key decisions on frameworks, tools, and technologies — all while ensuring business alignment and client satisfaction.

• Design and develop robust, scalable software architectures
• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams from inception to deployment
• Partner closely with clients and project managers to ensure success
• Coach engineers in modern software architecture, agile delivery, and DevOps practices
• Contribute to internal expert communities and help shape best practices across the group

What You Bring

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar (FH, Uni, ETH, etc.)
• 5+ years in software engineering and architecture
• Deep expertise in modern backend stacks (Java, Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL, Kafka)
• Knowledge of microservices, domain-driven design, UML, Arc42
• Experience with DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, OAuth2/OIDC)
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills with a collaborative mindset
• Fluent German and English (C1+)
• Up to €175,000 salary package
• Hybrid working model based in Zurich
