Automation and control Specialist

This mission is assigned to Ansaldo Green Tech – a Company focused on the energy transition business, incorporated in 2021 and fully owned by Ansaldo Energia, which has inherited from Ansaldo Energia specific know-how and capabilities.

Position

• Design of functional characteristics and architecture of control, automation, and diagnostics systems
• Specify and integrate instrumentation for control, protection and monitoring of the systems.
• Issue of Functional Drawings
• Follow up of external suppliers.
• Define simulator set up and testing procedures.
• Follow-up validation tests and site commissioning
• Define requirements for hardware component needed in the control system and issue technical specifications.
• Iterate closely with other functional teams like Process, Electrical

Requirements

• Upper Secondary Education in Electronics and Electrical Engineering, at least 5 years of work experience in relevant fields
• Knowledge of the main instrumentation installed in plants and components.
• knowledge of automation control system language of the in main control systems suppliers on the market (e.g. ABB, Beckhoff, Siemens, Emerson)
• Knowledge and practice related to the commissioning and start-up of components, systems, and plants.
• Knowledge of design procedures and regulations in order to be compliant to international rules and standards.
• Good problem-solving skills, ability to identify and develop new ideas and initiatives, able to turn ideas into practice.
• Ability to independently identify and prioritize tasks to meet company objectives and milestones.
• Spirit of initiative, passionate for technology and Innovation themes
