Location details: This role is fully remote but will require frequent travel (Up to 50% or more).

Evans is hiring a Subject Matter Expert resource to join their team in one of their growing contracts with the Department of Defense. You will provide expert-level guidance and oversight to ensure program operations and curriculum delivery are compliant with Department of Defense (DoD) instructions and key program standards. We are seeking someone who demonstrates proven success developing assessment tools and conducting comprehensive site visits to drive improvement across national program sites.

  • Conduct a minimum of thirty (30) site visits annually to evaluate program operations and curriculum delivery.
  • Assess compliance with DoD instructions, policies, and key program performance indicators.
  • Review and analyze site-level implementation of curriculum and operational procedures.
  • Develop and regularly update a national program self-assessment tool to support internal quality assurance.
  • Oversee technical program operations and communicate program statuses with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to review and refine the self-assessment tool.
  • Prepare detailed site visit reports, including assessment findings, identified deficiencies, recommended action plans, and timelines for corrective actions.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support strategic planning, training, and policy development.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant DoD regulations, educational standards, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred in Education, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in program evaluation, compliance, or curriculum oversight, preferably within a DoD or government-regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of DoD policies and educational program standards.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively (up to 50% of the time) for site visits.
  • Strong technical review skills and experience.
  • Experience improving quality, efficiency, and effectiveness by which client program information is shared and communicated.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to support multiple activities and meet deadlines.

Compensation

Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $108,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Evans’s total compensation package for employees.
