Overview

Develop & implement country-specific business sales strategies within the area, aligned with global objectives. Lead, oversee, and build on all aspects of the company’s operations within the respective area, including optimized OPPD processes, systems, and group functions (CRM, IT, segments, HR, finance & controlling, treasury, tax, audit, legal, etc.), sales, marketing, supply chain management, and sustainability. Foster the team & manage talents to build a positive, encouraging, and high-performing culture. Develop, manage, and be accountable for a full P&L and working capital, based on the area’s 5-year rolling budget and 12-month rolling forecast to foster long-term financial performance. Develop & implement portfolio & segment strategies to increase market share using segment marketing in alignment with the Global Division President. Steer performance & optimize the overall organizational performance culture. Manage regional relationships and review meetings with Principals to optimize customer & segment portfolios with strategic development pipelines. Foster “TOP” of the mind services to our customers through events, seminars, and knowledge sharing within the global OPPD organization. Foster relationships with key customers at all levels.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy Development and Implementation

  • Implement policies and procedures based on global strategy to develop the business plan, 5-year budget, and 12-month rolling forecast.
  • Support local teams to achieve company objectives.
  • Maintain contact with local authorities and governmental bodies to ensure business continuity.
  • Develop and improve business processes related to commercial operations, fostering continuous improvement for sustainable success.
  • Support divisional distribution business expansion and related administrative tasks.
  • Optimize organizations according to divisional & segment budgets and long-term plans.

Operational Management

  • Monitor business performance against budgets, fostering efficiency, cost control, legal compliance, supply chain, and HR management.
  • Oversee business activities to ensure profitable growth, customer satisfaction, and resource management.
  • Identify gaps in quality & performance, define actions, and monitor implementation.
  • Assess feasibility of new businesses & investments, responsible for the P&L of operations.
  • Ensure product safety and compliance with country regulations.
  • Drive safety culture and behaviors.
  • Manage SEQ compliance and local regulations related to supply-chain operations.
  • Provide timely and accurate reports to management and group functions.

Communication

  • Manage public relationships with government and authorities in alignment with global communications.
  • Organize and lead meetings with employees regularly.

People Management

  • Lead, evaluate, and develop local teams to meet business objectives and legal requirements.
  • Motivate teams to optimize performance and develop a strong, engaged culture.
  • Implement talent development and mentorship programs for young talents.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business and/or Polymer Science.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a similar role with operational expertise.
  • General management experience is advantageous.
  • Entrepreneurial, result-driven mindset.
  • Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills.
  • Strategic thinker with practical attitude.
  • Excellent people management and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluent in local language and English; additional languages beneficial.
