Inbound Transportation Excellence Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional with a solid background in transportation operations, specifically focusing on optimization and continuous improvement, to join our Inbound Transportation Excellence team as an Inbound Transportation Excellence Specialist in Zurich.

The Inbound Transportation Excellence team is an integral part of the Global Inbound Transportation department, responsible for the timely and optimal delivery of products from suppliers to warehouses. The team spearheads initiatives and projects aimed at driving continuous improvement and enhancing inbound transport operations efficiencies.

In this role, you will develop and manage dashboards, processes, and projects to improve visibility, optimize performance, reduce costs, decrease complexity, and ensure responsiveness within our transportation network.

Your Mission

1. Contribute to the development and management of KPIs, business insights, new tools, processes, SOPs, and projects to maintain or improve service levels, reduce costs and complexity, and enhance responsiveness and flexibility.
2. Drive data accuracy initiatives with effective report design and maintenance.
3. Standardize, align, and reassess global transport requirements with logistics service providers, operational processes, and data connectivity to support business growth.
4. Collaborate with stakeholders such as Transport Operations, Logistics Service Providers, Production Planning, Regional Operations, Supply Planning, Customs, and Finance to implement continuous improvements.
5. Share best practices and strive for standardization and harmonization where relevant.
6. Provide support or backup for the Operations Team when necessary.

Your Profile

1. Bachelor's degree in business, economics, logistics, supply chain, information systems, or operations; Master's degree is a plus.
2. Over 3 years of experience in global transport operations, preferably in apparel/fashion or freight forwarding industries.
3. Operational knowledge in all transport modes such as air, sea, truck, and courier.
4. Experience in transport analytics and process management is advantageous.
5. Analytical, structured, and data-driven mindset.
6. Team player with resourcefulness, self-management, critical thinking, enthusiasm, and a drive to perform.
7. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, both oral and written.
8. Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with InforNexus, PowerQuery, and macros is preferred.
9. Interest in working within an international, cross-cultural, and dynamic environment.
