Financial/Cost Controller (M/F)

As part of strengthening the finance team of one of our clients — a well-established player in the industrial sector based in Fribourg — we are looking for an experienced Financial/Cost Controller capable of working across departments on strategic financial and performance-related topics.

Our client operates in a complex manufacturing environment where cost control is a key factor. You will play a critical role in performance analysis, operational decision support, and the continuous improvement of financial management practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analyze financial and operational data related to production and ongoing projects to provide meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making
• Develop and enhance analytical tools to better anticipate budget variances and identify improvement opportunities
• Work closely with operations, purchasing, production, and sales teams to ensure the accuracy and reliability of economic data related to products and projects
• Monitor budgets rigorously and contribute to their initial planning in collaboration with various departments
• Support the sales team in structuring and pricing customer offers from an economic standpoint
• Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported reports and presentations for executive management to facilitate decision-making

PROFILE

• Higher education in finance, engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience in an industrial or manufacturing company, with a solid understanding of production processes, cost flows, and operational logic
• Strong analytical mindset, intellectual rigor, and critical thinking skills
• Hands-on approach: comfortable interacting with technical teams and translating operational realities into actionable financial insights
• Proficient in data analysis tools and ERP systems; daily use of Power BI is expected
• Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken; proficiency in French is an asset.
