Your Key Responsibilities will include :

General Ledger Management :

  • Manage Finance & Accounting for the legal entity in Lucerne, Switzerland, reporting to the Head of Group Finance.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly, quarterly, and annually.
  • Ensure proper coding of all financial transactions according to the chart of accounts and company policies.

Month-End & Year-End Close :

  • Responsible for period-end closing and reporting in accordance with local GAAP, regulations, and compliance standards.
  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare monthly financial reports for Group Finance.

Financial Reporting & Compliance :

  • Coordinate audits and ensure tax compliance and transfer pricing documentation accuracy.
  • Monitor cash flow, treasury, tax, and other accounting areas at the entity level.
  • Prepare business plans, quarterly forecasts, and variance analyses; identify cost reduction and efficiency opportunities.
  • Implement local financial processes aligned with central guidelines.

Process Improvement & Collaboration :

  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance controls.
  • Support and guide business partners on accounting matters.
  • Coordinate with the German Branch for financial reporting.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax advisors, and authorities.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Train and develop the local finance team.
  • Perform other finance tasks as assigned by the Head of Group Finance.

Your profile

Education

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. Swiss Federal Diploma or equivalent is highly desirable. International qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA) considered if complemented with Swiss GAAP knowledge.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of proven experience in a financial role, preferably within Swiss or multinational companies with Swiss operations.
  • Over 3 years of team leadership experience in finance or a commercial environment.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Swiss GAAP (FER/OR) and Swiss tax regulations (VAT, WHT).
  • Experience with SAP FI/CO is mandatory.

Language Skills

  • Proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required. German skills are a plus.
