Scientist - Analytical Chemistry

For our client, a leading global healthcare company headquartered in Basel, we are looking for a highly motivated Senior Analyst/Analytical Expert to support Analytical Research & Development (ARD). ARD is part of the Global Technical R&D department and plays a crucial role in characterizing and analyzing Small Molecule Drug Substances and Drug Products from discovery through transfer to Commercial Production. The role will focus on small molecules and Radioligand Therapy within the Small Molecules GMP Analytics Team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, execute, and report scientific experiments for DS and/or DP, applying advanced analytical science and technologies (e.g., release testing, stability studies, method validation, cleaning verification) according to timelines and cGMP compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and submission of raw data in systems like LIMS.
  • Maintain good laboratory and documentation practices during laboratory activities.
  • Assist in evaluating and interpreting results, including investigations on SST failures, OOx/Deviations.
  • Review analytical documentation such as raw data, validation protocols, etc.
  • Provide scientific guidance to laboratory staff.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration.
  • Support audits and inspections, ensuring no critical findings.
  • Promote team spirit and knowledge sharing.

Profile:

  • Master's degree in analytical chemistry or related field with at least 5 years of pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Strong expertise in analytical techniques like HPLC, particle size analysis, dissolution testing, cleaning validation, X-Ray, IR, etc.
  • GMP experience is mandatory.
  • Experience with raw data review and approval.
  • Experience handling Deviations/OOx is advantageous.
  • German language skills are a plus.
