Description
The Medical Science Liaison is responsible for supporting the safe and effective use of Company therapies by communicating complex medical and scientific information to healthcare professionals and providing field medical intelligence/insights to internal stakeholders. The MSL conducts internal and external training on Company therapies. They manage an assigned territory autonomously, developing and growing medical activities and initiatives to achieve key medical objectives.
Responsibilities
As Oncology Field Medical Affairs, your day may include:
- Building and maintaining relationships with key therapeutic area experts and investigators to foster collaboration and insights.
- Responding to inquiries about study indications, disease states, and therapeutic areas by presenting scientific and clinical data in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Educating healthcare practitioners, payers, and researchers on disease management and therapeutic advancements.
- Attending medical conferences to gather and report scientific, clinical, and competitive intelligence insights.
- Supporting investigator-initiated studies by strengthening relationships with investigators and internal teams.
- Assisting in the development and dissemination of clinical data through abstracts, posters, presentations, and manuscripts.
- Collaborating strongly with Clinical Development and Operations teams, as well as other relevant business functions.
Requirements
- Hold a PhD, PharmD, or MD (a Master’s degree with Oncology experience may also be considered).
- Proven experience in the pharmaceutical industry or a clinical setting, ideally with expertise in immuno-oncology.
- Experience working collaboratively within matrix environments and establishing meaningful relationships with KOLs.
- Enjoy building relationships across teams in collaborative, matrixed environments.
- Deep passion for Oncology.
- Strong communication skills and fluency in both the local language and English.
- Comfortable with frequent travel, including overnight stays, to engage with stakeholders and attend conferences.
- Valuing integrity, professionalism, and strict adherence to compliance standards.
