Detailed underwriting analysis of Industrial Propertyaccounts – review of exposures, insurance contract terms and conditions, pricing
Determination of loss expectancies, control of accumulations, capacity deployment
Negotiation of terms and conditions with brokers and clients
Develop an extensive knowledge of the broker network worldwide
Attend national and international client and broker meetings as well as site visits when necessary
Build up own portfolio, according to Helvetia Group Underwriting Directives and Guidelines Strategy
Close cooperation with our claims department for large and complex claims
You hold a university degree in Engineering with a few years of experience, ideally in Chemical or Metal Industry and are willing to develop as an Insurance / Reinsurance Underwriter
As an alternative, you already have some experience as Property underwriter and an appetite to learn about industrial processes
Ideally, you have first experiences in insurance, assessing large industrial complex or large industrial properties
You have strong analytical skills as well as business acumen
You tackle challenges with passion and demonstrate high expectations of your own performance
You can develop stable partnerships across departmental boundaries and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders to meet common goals
You have a positive, agile, and team-oriented approach
Proficiency in English is essential, ideally paired with knowledge of German and French
