Are you a versatile System Engineer with an interest in Identity & Access Management? As a member of the Security, Identity & Access team, you will be responsible for the further development of ZHAW's IAM products.

Responsibilities

We are responsible for IT Security, Identity & Access Management (IAM), and involved in various processes related to onboarding, changes, and offboarding of staff and students. We ensure smooth workflows and maintain IT Security.

As a System Engineer interested in these topics and willing to take responsibility, your tasks will include:

• Operation, lifecycle management, and continuous improvement of our IAM system and related IT infrastructure (mainly in a Microsoft environment)
• Connecting software solutions to the IAM system and implementing technical requirements with stakeholders, including interfaces
• Supporting the SIA team in 2nd level support for IAM issues and coordinating 3rd level support with external partners
• Assisting the SIA team with cross-cutting security and IAM topics, supporting IAM consultants in planning, designing, and implementing IAM and trust technologies and processes within ZHAW
• Providing technological advice on IAM and engineering topics within a dynamic university environment

With your drive and experience, you will contribute to fulfilling requirements in the IAM environment and IT security in close collaboration with agile ICT teams, technical and business experts, and stakeholders, thereby significantly contributing to the satisfaction of students, staff, and stakeholders, as well as the overall success of ZHAW.

Profile

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• An advanced degree or further training in computer science or business informatics (ideally)
• Solid experience as a System Engineer
• Initial experience with IAM systems and a strong interest to deepen your knowledge in IAM topics
• An affinity for IT security topics and willingness to contribute to the team when needed
• Experience with directory services like Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra
• An interest in SQL and willingness to learn scripting languages like PowerShell or Python independently
• Connected thinking and a holistic understanding of enterprise-wide IAM products and processes
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills with a structured approach
• Excellent communication skills to convey information appropriately for different audiences
• A collaborative attitude, solution-oriented thinking, and action
• Fluent German skills at least at B2 level
