This position requires a strong leader who can provide direction and support to the large team. This person must have the ability to engage and inspire local market marketing leaders and cross functional teams to deliver innovative products and campaigns. We are looking for someone with strong strategic,creative and analytical thinking. This role is mix of strategic multi category and brand portfolio management and operational marketing execution.

This VP Marketing NWE requires apassion for marketing and creative excellence and thoughtleadership is a must – steering the agenda ahead of what anylocal market can do themselves. The VP Marketing NWE must be comfortable operating in a complex business structure.

Strong business acumen is essential for this role. Northwestern (NWE) Europe is one of our largest Business Units in Europe (over 3 billion in revenue) and as one of the leaders of the BU, this role will be a key growth driver.

How you will contribute

You create and implement future-proof category strategies that are grounded in deep consumer and category insight, data-driven and digitally integrated and that ensure profitable business growth beyond brand growth. You will work with brand leadership to expand category strategy beyond a brand over the short and long term, generating category insights, strategies and best practices. In addition, you will take the lead on select growth platforms and strategic initiatives, provide insight on innovation, and develop a renovation strategy from a global marketing standpoint. In this role, you will also help prioritize the strategic plan by selecting the right growth drivers and forecasting; lead a virtual community of marketeers; adopt competitive intel data and analytics for use on brands teams; and equip marketing leadership with access to scale, best practices and across-business-unit learnings.

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • 20+ years’ experience in both marketing & sales roles with involvement in broad commercial issues. Proven ability to drive growth in a General Manager or commercial leadership position.
  • Marketing and category leadership in an FMCG matrix environment.
  • Cross-functional, cross-geography program/ project leadership and effective influencing in of complex matrix structures at senior leadership level.
  • Extensive food experience (ideally in chocolate and snacking category ).
  • Leadership and influencing skills with a focus on effectively collaborating across the organization including at executive level.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end business models and algorithms and their translation into specific profit and loss lines.
  • Growth modelling tools, including consumer demand spaces, market and competitive analytics and financial reporting tools.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing a diverse team and highpotential talent.Experience in building and leading large multi-geographyteams and communities.
  • Leadership style that is charismatic and good at influencing key stakeholdersacross all levels. Must have cultural awareness and professional maturity toeffectively work across markets.
  • Innovative & creative Marketer combined with commercial edge. Proven ability to deliver world class communication and innovation, driving revenue, profit, market share and brand health growth.
  • Strong digital marketing experience with large scale online marketing campaigns run across social channels/platforms. S olid experience in marketing successfully to a new consumer base leveraging new technologies & platforms for brand acceleration.
  • Proven ability in building marketing capability across both growing and mature markets. International, multi-market experience is a must have.
  • Relevant Marketing transformation / change management experience.
  • Experience in omni- channel.
  • Bachelor or Postgraduate marketing specific qualification.

Role Dimension: this role is leading a marketing team 175 across 10 countries in North-Western Europe (BeNeLux, Italy, Iberia, Scandinavia)
