Logistics Officer

We are looking for a Logistics Officer to join our friendly and dynamic team. This role requires the candidate to be the first link between our suppliers and our customers. You will have to deal with several countries on different continents with multiple cultures and make sure that we comply with all the customers’ requirements to facilitate their reception of the goods. Together with the trader you will have the responsibility to execute all our confirmed contracts. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Having a good understanding of each of our counterparties (both suppliers and customers)
• Fully understand what our position is and decide which contract we will have to ship
• Managing the quality of the products we ship, keeping in mind issues that might arise
• Moving goods from supplying countries to customers countries
• Negotiating costs related to your position
• Booking international transportation
• Following shipments from port of loading to destination
• Insurance issuance and follow-up
• Organizing shipment documentation and delivering them into the customers hands before vessel arrival
• Anticipating any possible issues and warning the traders about the inevitable ones.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics or any other relevant courses
• Minimum 1 year of professional experience
• Team spirit and a self-starter’s mindset
• Strongly motivated and eager to learn
• Open-minded, autonomous, and rigorous attitude
• Preciseness and structure in your work
• Fluent English & French, Spanish is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
