Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineering Manager for Building Management Solutions at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the engineering function for SBC (Saia Burgess Controls) solutions. You will be responsible for providing technical direction, leadership, and execution oversight to the SBC development team. Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineering Manager for Building Management Solutions at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in leading and managing the engineering function for SBC (Saia Burgess Controls) solutions. You will be responsible for providing technical direction, leadership, and execution oversight to the SBC development team. Your expertise and commitment to excellence will contribute to the success of our Building Management Solutions SBC business and to the satisfaction of our customers.

You will report directly to the SBC Engineering Manager and will work out of our Givisiez, CH location on an on-site work schedule.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to drive innovation, ensure product quality, and achieve business objectives for our SBC solutions, working with leading SBC providers worldwide. Your technical and leadership expertise and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams will be instrumental in delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and leadership to the engineering function for SBC solutions
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects for these solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to drive innovation and achieve business objectives
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Manage and optimize engineering resources, budgets, and timelines for these solutions
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity
• Lead, develop, and grow a high-performing engineering team focused on these solutions
  
  

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (Master's degree preferred)
• 8+ years of experience in Embedded Software engineering leadership roles
• Prior experience in managing embedded software development team
• Technical expertise in PLC Controllers
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in project management and execution
• Customer focus and ability to build and maintain relationships
