The Transportation Sergeant at The GEO Group, Inc. supervises transportation operations and personnel, ensuring detainees are transported safely and vehicles are ready. The role may involve acting as Transportation Officer when needed and supporting the Transportation Supervisor or Manager in their absence.

Responsibilities include scheduling officers, monitoring operations, and maintaining regulatory knowledge to ensure compliance with DOT requirements and company standards.

Formación

• Must meet all Transportation Officer qualifications.
• One (1) year transportation experience.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements for Hours of Service and Vehicle inspections.
• Ability to write reports, memorandums, policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Effective personnel interaction, communication skills, and problem-solving techniques.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise transportation operations and personnel.
• Schedule Transportation Officers work assignments.
• Monitor care and custody of detainees during departures and returns.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance and timely repairs.
• Maintain DOT files and regulatory knowledge.
