Job summary

StaffingAbroad is seeking an experienced backend/full-stack engineer to own system architecture and deliver high-impact projects in a fully remote setting. You’ll guide teams, design scalable services, and collaborate with business units in the consumer-financing space.

The role emphasizes leadership, distributed systems expertise, and hands-on development with AI coding agents. Expect a strong engineering culture with cloud, observability, and IaC practices.

Qualifications

• Several years of production backend or full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong experience designing systems and taking them from architecture to production.
• Proven ability to lead technical projects and deliver through other engineers.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, architecture, testing, and production debugging.
• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents to deliver meaningful production work.
• Strong ownership mindset and interest in deeply understanding the business domain.
• Experience building AI agent tooling, MCP servers, agent pipelines, or evaluation frameworks.
• Fintech, lending, or other regulated‑industry experience.
• Experience with Temporal or event‑driven architectures.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience, especially Pulumi.
