Satellogic, a leading Earth Observation company, seeks a Senior Security-Focused Software Engineer to reinforce satellite and ground station software with security-first architecture. You will define security guardrails, work on core platform security, and collaborate across teams in a hybrid role with international travel.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years building scalable software, 3+ years Python, and 2+ years embedded development, with strong cryptography and Secure SDLC experience.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a related field.
• 4+ years of experience architecting and integrating scalable software solutions.
• 3+ years of professional Python development.
• 2+ years of embedded software development.
• Experience designing security-focused features in complex software systems.
• Experience with cryptography in constrained environments (key management, symmetric/asymmetric encryption, authentication protocols).
• Experience establishing or integrating Secure SDLC frameworks or security guardrails.
• Proficiency in GNU/Linux for software development.

Responsabilidades

• Establish and integrate secure development processes across the engineering team.
• Define end-to-end security practices and guardrails across the system lifecycle.
• Design, develop and validate security-focused features for satellite and ground station software.
• Enhance and maintain software by expanding test coverage and CI/CD security checks.
• Collaborate with the development team and participate in peer reviews to promote a security-first mindset.
• Provide expert-level support for satellite operations.
