Job summary

Confidential Startup SaaS Company is looking for an engineer to partner with our small B2B software team to complete well-scoped tasks end to end, using modern AI tooling as your daily way of working. You will work across our stack in TypeScript: Node services, React front-ends, PostgreSQL, and review model outputs critically.

Hours are evenings Eastern time, roughly 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM Eastern, with independent hours the rest of the day.

Qualifications

• Real-time voice & messaging-provider integration experience.
• Experience in fintech or regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Complete scoped engineering tasks end to end: research, implement, test, review, ship, alongside the team.
• Work across our stack in TypeScript: Node services, React front-ends, PostgreSQL.
• Use LLM tooling the way our team does: direct the model, review what it produces critically, and know when it is wrong.
• Debug from evidence: read logs, reproduce issues, verify fixes, and close the loop with whoever raised it.
• Raise quality as you go: tests that catch regressions, reviews that leave the code better than you found it.

Job description

We are a small B2B software team that ships fast and reviews everything. You would partner directly with our team to complete well-scoped engineering tasks, using modern AI tooling as your daily way of working. You would not own data pipelines or migrations; you would take tasks

from brief to merged and shipped, with a teammate always in the loop.

What You’ll Do:

• Complete scoped engineering tasks end to end: research, implement, test, review, ship, alongside the team.
• Work across our stack in TypeScript: Node services, React front-ends, PostgreSQL.
• Use LLM tooling the way our team does: direct the model, review what it produces critically, and know when it is wrong.
• Debug from evidence: read logs, reproduce issues, verify fixes, and close the loop with whoever raised it.
• Raise quality as you go: tests that catch regressions, reviews that leave the code better than you found it.

What We’re Looking For:

• AI Tooling: It's a force multiplier for you, not a crutch. You can direct a model to write code, review what it produces, and know when it's wrong.
• Debug from Evidence: You review logs, reproduce problems, and confirm the fix with the reporter.
• You’re Proactive: You would rather ship a prototype and be told it's wrong than wait for a specification.
• Customer Engagement: You're not afraid of customers. You can talk with them calmly, on the phone, about why their import failed.
• Preferred Experience: real-time voice and messaging-provider integration experience, prior work with a fintech or regulated-industry, strong understanding of compliance frameworks.

Hours:

Our working rhythm centers on evenings Eastern time, roughly 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM Eastern, when pairing, reviews, and the hard problems happen. You would own your independent hours across the rest of the day. If that rhythm does not fit your life, this is not a good fit.
