Job summary

Blazar Energy in Cali, Colombia seeks a SISO to ensure safe, compliant installations and to monitor SG-SST across sites. You will support field crews, manage risks, and act as safety liaison with clients, contractors, and ARL, driving health and safety on every project.

Required are a relevant OHS degree, valid OHS license, and 2+ years as SISO on solar projects, plus certificates for SG-SST and heights coordination. Travel Colombia-wide; fluency in Office tools preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree or technologist diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field with an OHS specialization.
• Valid Occupational Health and Safety license.
• Valid 50-hour SG-SST online course certificate.
• Valid Safe Work at Heights Coordinator certificate.
• At least 2 years of experience as SISO on solar energy projects, overseeing work at heights on rooftops, roofs and structures.
• Available to travel to projects throughout Colombia; based in or near Cali and proficient in Office. A driver's license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and monitor the SG-SST on all projects, in line with Decree 1072 of 2015 and Resolution 0312 of 2019.
• Prepare job safety analyses (ATS), risk matrices and work permits before each activity.
• Supervise and control work at heights and electrical risks on site, ensuring compliance with Resolution 4272 of 2021 and RETIE.
• Deliver safety talks, inductions and training to in-house staff and contractors.
• Check the correct use and condition of PPE, fall protection equipment and tools.
• Report and investigate workplace incidents and accidents, manage the relationship with the ARL and track OHS indicators.

Job description

At Blazar Energy we build solar and energy storage solutions powered by technology and artificial intelligence for homes, businesses and industry in Colombia. As our project portfolio grows, we are looking for a SISO to ensure every installation is carried out safely, in an orderly way and in compliance with current regulations. As SISO, you will be responsible for implementing and monitoring the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (SG-SST) on our sites. You will support installation crews in the field, control work at heights and electrical risks, and act as the safety point of contact for clients, contractors and the ARL (occupational risk insurer).
