Job summary

IBM Consulting in Colombia is seeking a Security Consultant specializing in Intelligence & Operations. You will help Client IT address security issues, exposures, and vulnerabilities using SIEM/XDR platforms such as Google SecOps.

You will design and implement new correlation rules, analyze threats, and communicate actionable recommendations to clients, with strong English technical communication and collaboration with multinational teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating SIEM/XDR platforms.
• Strong knowledge of SIEM/XDR configuration, including integrations, dashboards, reports, correlation rules, and access management.
• Experience troubleshooting SIEM/XDR operational and technical issues.
• Solid understanding of MITRE ATT&CK framework.
• Experience analyzing malicious or suspicious behaviors across enterprise environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact directly with clients.
• Intermediate English level (technical communication).

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate SIEM/XDR platforms.
• Configure log sources, dashboards, reports, rules, and access management.
• Troubleshoot platform issues.
• Design and implement new correlation rules.
• Analyze malicious behaviors and support threat detection.
• Provide security recommendations to improve detection and posture.
• Communicate findings clearly to clients.
