EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer to build resilient end-to-end test coverage across UI and API layers, using TypeScript and Playwright. The role emphasizes performance testing with K6 and CI integration through Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Formación

• 3+ years of professional software test automation experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern E2E frameworks, with Playwright.
• Experience in performance testing, with K6 preferred.
• Familiarity with CI tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Understanding of software architecture and service boundaries.
• Experience creating tests with AI tools (Cursor, GHCP, Codex, Claude Code).
• English proficiency at B2+ level.

• Leverage AI-based tools to generate and enhance test creation workflows
• Collaborate with development teams to identify testing gaps and improve overall test coverage

We are seeking a Senior Test Automation Engineer (UI and API E2E) to build resilient end-to-end test coverage across UI and API layers for distributed systems quality. You will automate with TypeScript and Playwright, create performance checks with K6, and wire suites into CI using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain automated tests for web UI and API layers using modern E2E frameworks
• Create and run performance testing scenarios to confirm scalability and reliability
• Integrate automated test suites into CI pipelines, manage failing builds, artifacts, flaky tests, and quality gates
• Assess system architecture and service boundaries to shape test strategies beyond UI scripts
• Document clear and actionable defect reports, including expected vs actual results, supporting evidence, and severity aligned with business impact
• Leverage AI-based tools to generate and enhance test creation workflows
• Collaborate with development teams to identify testing gaps and improve overall test coverage

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in software testing with test automation, including 3+ years of professional practice
• Proficiency in TypeScript and modern E2E frameworks, with strong preference for Playwright, including testing of sync and async APIs
• Demonstrable experience in performance testing, with K6 preferred
• Familiarity with CI tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
• Solid understanding of software architecture and service boundaries to guide test design
• Practical skills in creating tests using AI tools such as Cursor, GHCP, Codex, or Claude Code
• English proficiency at B2+ (Upper-Intermediate) level

Nice to have

• Experience with K6 in production use, including distributed load generators
• Knowledge of golden-file, characterization, or snapshot testing techniques
• Familiarity with Kubernetes-deployed systems and OpenTelemetry or similar observability tools
